I do not consider myself a celebrity at all.  Even if I were considered
one, I would still be the same person.  Someone who, like many others,
struggles with self image issues and is consistantly working on his
self esteem.

The main thing about me is that I am a survivor.  First thing is that I
survived a heart attack in January of 2007.  My heart stopped for some
time but I made it through that tough time and I am working to stay
healthy.  The other thing about me is that I am a survivor in the court
of public opinion.  I grew up with weight issues.  Always being called
and treated as the "fat kid".  I lived a life where being called "fat"
was said under the breath and in my face.  I grew up not knowing why
that was ok.  I grew into a man who always saw that in the mirror.  It got to the point where I did not care.  I embraced it.  I acted like I enjoyed being the funny jolly guy.  I maintained a lifestyle of bad food and over eating to the point where it drove me to that heart attack.  I was spared when most would have died.  I am a medical miracle in the eyes or my cardiologist.  I was given a choice, either continue on that path and die or make a change for the better.  I chose to change for the better.  That choice did not make an immediate physical change.  It did not stop the comments.  It did not numb me to the word "fat".
I made a choice that words would never hurt me again.  I made the choice to live happy despite what others say.  I made the choice to stand up for myself and help others to do the same.  Helping people through hard times is my passion.  Helping people based on my prior experiences.  Helping people realize that change starts with taking action that they want for themselves, not for someone else.  Change starts within so the foundation is set to change the outside.  My message is about being healthy and dealing with the road you have to take to get to where you want to be.  There is no quick fix to life's problems.  My message is about starting the journey and about staying the course.

I am the author of the soon to be released "Word of the Day" book series that will be available on Amazon.com soon.
